About Bełżyce Arabian Horse Stud
The first crop of Bełżyce-bred foals (1996) already brought the colt Gwaro – the future Derby winner. Until now there were 105 foals both Pure and Toroughbred born at our farm. Within the farm we also run the race training center equipped with professional racetrucks (sand and grass), indoor arena and walkers. In 1999 r. the owner of the farm - Andrzej Wójtowicz was licensed as race trainer and since then he keeps training the horses himself with first successes coming in 1999 – with Esej winning International Europa Prize and Gwaro – Białka Stakes. In 2000 r. our Gwaro won in Polish Derby for Pure bred Arabian horses. It was the first Derby win by private bred Arabian horse in the post war history of Polish breeding. Arabian horses from Bełżyce are amongst the leaders at Służewiec Racecourse in Warsaw, Bełżyce Racing Stable won over 280 races with many stakes. Hovewer we are mostly focused on Arabian horse races we don’t forget about shows. We have counted many national and international show successes last years and one of our chief stallions – Ar-Rahman was awarded the Best Racing Horse of 2002 Polish National Show in Janów Podlaski. The top of the hill of every breeders work is including the horse into the breeding program – own or the one of the client. A lot of Bełżyce bred horses enlarged the breeding programms in Poland and abroad – as in the US, Turkey or Italy. |
